The second annual early summer Payson Tournament for girls soccer was held June 13-15. The Lady Dons took three teams this year: SF Red consisting of seniors and juniors, SF Grey consisting of juniors, sophomores and 2 freshmen, and SF White consisting entirely of incoming freshmen. The competition was good and the girls had great support from family and friends. Each team played seven games over the three days. There were teams from Manti (2), Wasatch, Provo, Bear River (2), Gunnison and host Payson (2). SF Red repeated their 2012 result as tournament champions with five wins and two ties. A 5-1 victory of Wasatch Thursday evening was particularly satisfying. SF Grey competed well at 4-2-1. And SF White, the only all-freshmen team entered in the tournament, won the second division with energy and enthusiasm. Well done Lady Dons!
