Congratulations to Spanish Fork FFA members who competed recently at the National FFA Convention in Louisville, Kentucky.

Spanish Fork FFA had 6 members compete at National Convention this year. Cooper Galt, Dalton Sorensen, Seth Worthington and Corbin Redd competed in livestock judging and placed 13th out of 50 teams, one from each state. Kaitlin Hallam and Brooke Voorhees were both selected as one of 25 finalists nationwide in their areas for the Agriscience Fair competition. Brooke place 13th overall for her research regarding feed and weight gain in hogs, and Kaitlin was awarded 2nd place in the nation for her research on the effects of gender separation on the rate of gain in turkeys.

FFA National Convention is attended by over 60,000 FFA members from across the Nation. In order to compete at National Convention, students must first win their contest at the state level and be selected as finalists on a national level.

Congratulations on your success representing Spanish Fork and the state of Utah!!
