FFA had some students with awesome success. The proficiency award program recognizes students for the skills they have developed through their Supervised Agriculture Experience (where they take what they learn in the classroom and apply it in a real world setting). In January, 8 of our students were named Area Winners (our version of region). These students then moved on to the state competition which was held February 9.

We were fortunate enough to have 6/8 students that were named state winners and will now move on to Nationals. This is 20% of the total winners from the state! This is a pretty awesome accomplishment for our students. Congratulations to Russell M, Agricultural Education; Lance J, Agricultural Services; Tanner V, Diversified Agriculture; Ellie A, Equine Science Entrepreneurship; Wade C, Nursery Production; and Megan S, Small Animal Production. These students will be rewarded and compete at the State FFA Convention coming up March 30-31 in Cedar City.  Way to go FFA!! You are ROCK SOLID!!
