After coming off a very emotional victory against the Springville Red Devils, the Dons were looking forward to facing off with the American Fork Cavemen. The players were confident going into the game, having the opportunity watch film of Springville's game plans helped them realize that if they stopped the run they would win.

The Dons started off hot scoring 14 points on their first two drives. The Dons had AF down and ready to quit, but a little burst of life came after they ran a kick off back for a touchdown. Then the rest of the game was a dog fight. In the 3rd quarter SF scored two more touchdowns, but the Cavemen stayed right behind us. Even though their quarterback got injured and was out for the rest of the game, their backup QB proved himself to be reliable and quick. In the last two minutes of the game the Dons fell short a point and ended up with their first loss of the season. 28-27 for the Cavemen.
