Business Language Competition 454.1 KB

Ammy Trujillo, Amy Gomez, Katie Morris, and Maria Diaz were four students chosen to represent our school at a Business Language Competition at BYU on Friday, February 24. The girls had only a few days to prepare a presentation of their marketing plan…all in Spanish. They made a poster,  a PowerPoint and wrote up a report which they presented in front of two groups of three judges.

The whole competition was in Spanish, and the teams were required to have at least one non-native Spanish speaker. Katie Morris, who is in Sr. Rogers’s Spanish 2 class, was the non-native speaker on this team. She said, “I could only understand about 50% of what the judges were saying, but it was definitely a learning experience, and it was totally worth it.”

The girls had a great experience and received 4th place, and sophomores Ammy Trujillo and Amy Gomez are planning to compete again next year. Fantastic job representing Spanish Fork so well!
