Provo Girls Summit Thursday, March 8, 2019 Provo, Utah

Provo Girls Summit is a career exploration fair for girls ages 8-12. Our goal is to give young girls the chance to meet and visit with women from many different fields. We hope that this event will pique their curiosity and serve as a springboard for further conversations, research, and ideas. Our 2nd annual summit will be Thursday March 8th 6-8pm. This event will feature successful women from a variety of professional backgrounds—academics, scientists, artists, local business owners and more. At the summit, girls will visit one-on-one with our guests at their professional booths.

Ken Garff Code-A-Thon (Girls Only) Saturday, March 9, 2019 9 am - 1 pm Jordan High School

Ken Garff's first annual Code-A-Thon (girls only) will be held on Saturday, March 9th at Jordan High School. The event begins at 11am and ends at 3pm. There will be two female guest speakers and lunch will be provided. Students will be divided into teams of 3 to 4 students with one female business mentor per team. Students will race against the clock to find the solutions for various coding challenges!

Utah Valley Job Fair Wednesday, March 13, 2019 Utah Valley Convention Center, Provo

The Utah Valley Job Fair is FREE for all Job Seekers and will be held  Wednesday March 13th 2019  at the Utah Valley Convention Center in Provo from 2:00 PM – 5:00 PM.  Job Seekers will be able to create invaluable relationships with HR personnel and explore career opportunities with some of the biggest and best paying companies along with many others. SheTech Explorer Day Tuesday, April 9, 2019 Mountain America Expo Center in Sandy

SheTech Explorer Day is a hands-on tech conference for high school girls 9th through 12th grade. This day-long event will include hands-on workshops in science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM).  Our ultimate goal is to expose girls to technology in a fun atmosphere as well as meet STEM role models to learn more about opportunities in those fields. Girls who attend will have access to internerships, receive a SheTech certificate, receive pathway information and become part of a community to help girls have opportunities in STEM. Utah High School IT Competition Wednesday April 10- Thursday April 11 Mountain America Expo Center in Sandy

Students with experience in IT can compete in teams of 2-4 in events like:  App Attack, Security/Linux/Network, Q/A Bughunt, UX/UI, and Video Marketing.  Individuals can compete in events like IT Help Desk and A+ Computer Repair.    Registration is free and partipants each receive free entrance into the GamingCon after party.  Register at https://bit.ly/2TkPsPN

Mountainland Code Camp 8:00 am Friday April 26 - 10:00 am Saturday April 27 Xactware Corporate Offices in Lehi

Code Camp is a programming, design and entrepreneurship 24-hour contest event! Engineering State Utah State University, Logan June 3-6, 2019

Engineering State is a funn-filled 4-day summer camp for students entering their senior year of high school.  Participants explore how engineering has changed the world and learn what earning a degree in engineering is all about. Many of our participants major in engineering and go on to have successful, fulfilling careers. Code to Success Summer Program June 10 - July 19, 2019 Nebo Advanced Learning Center

Six week summer programming class FREE for Nebo students.  Classes will be held at the ALC Monday-Friday from 8am - 12pm.  Registration opens in January. In collaboration with tech leaders, we provide students with the opportunity to access coding training modules, obtain one-on-one mentoring from experts, and take advantage of networking opportunities to pursue internships. Our goal is to bridge the gap between education and industry by getting students interested in programming and setting them up on a successful education pathway in computer science.
