Christmas Cocoa and Snowflakes Are Some of the Holiday Activities at SFHS

On Wednesday, December 16th, the Student Council at SFHS held a lunchtime snowflake activity to increase school unity and spread Christmas cheer. Students were able to enjoy hot cocoa and marshmallows while cutting out paper snowflakes while cutting out paper snowflakes to liven up the school. Bethany Hutchison, one of the students who participated in this activity, said, “The chocolate was superb! It was the best school chocolate I’ve ever had. It’s usually watery, but this time it was really good.” Most of the students seem to agree that this activity was an enjoyable school experience with plenty of fun and good chocolate. Other activities included the FCCLA Club conducted a fundraiser. They sold Santa Grams that consisted of hot cocoa packets with a reindeer candy cane and card. All the money raised went to children’s hospitals to help them with treatments and surgeries. Richard Seely, a student that helped with selling the Santa Grams, said, “It was a fun experience, and it feels good to know that this money will be really helpful for the children. “ Students were excited to buy something that will help those in eed ini this Christmas Season. Other activities included the horticulture classes arranging Christmas centerpieces and the foods classes creating gingerbread houses.
