On Thursday October 10 the Lady Dons volleyball team played North San Pete hawks, in a breast cancer awareness game. The lady dons wore pink bows in their hair while playing and on their right foot they had a pink shoe lace. The game was started with a dedicatory song for all those that are struggling with breast cancer, have fought the battle of cancer and those that have lost loved ones to breast cancer sung by Bridget Ausiata. Much of the student body came dressed in pink, supporting Breast cancer awareness month. And to cheer on the lady dons as they faced the lady Hawks. The first game was won by the Hawks- 26 to 24, a close match with the Dons leading the whole way but unfortunately choking at the end. They were given a motivational speech by their head coach Andrew Richards, and pulled out a win for the next game winning 25-18. With the energy from the second game they again won the third game with the score of, 25-20. One more game is all they needed and they got the job done. Leading them by eight, 25-17. We are all so proud of our lady dons, good luck at state.
