Spanish Fork High School's Ashley Norris and Adviser Brandi Fausett joined more than 7,500 FCCLA student leaders, members, and advisers at the Music City Center in Nashville, TN for FCCLA Nationals July 1st-7th, 2017. FCCLA stands for Family, Career, and Community Leaders of America and is an organization designed to teach our youth how to become better leaders.  FCCLA has more than 164,000 members from 49 states, including Puerto Rico and the Virgin Islands.

Ashley participated in Interior Design, one of 30 Family and Consumer Sciences related Competitive Events offered at NLC.  These events support foundational, leadership, and workplace skills.  Competing with over 4,200 STAR Event participants in Nashville, Ashley achieved a Gold Medal and 10th place in her category, which is a wonderful achievement!

District wide, 13 students from all 5 high schools represented Nebo extremely well! These students first competed in a variety of projects starting at the region level, then advancing to state competitions, where they then qualified for nationals.

Besides competitions, the students and advisers who attended the conference were able to network with the nation, attend workshops for leadership development, and have a blast enjoying the sounds of 'Music City'. Congratulations to these students on their amazing accomplishments! Way to represent our school so well Ashley!!
